Terms & Conditions
Last updated · September 2026
These terms govern your use of Scope by OMUK. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. They are written to be read — please do.
01The service
Scope is a training platform where educators publish courses and learners join them, learn in community and track their progress. Some features are free; paid features, where introduced, will be clearly priced before you are charged.
02Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create an account.
03Learners
Course enrolment gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to access that course’s content for your own learning. You may not copy, redistribute, resell or publicly share course materials, recordings or transcripts.
Progress information you generate is visible to the educators of the courses you join, so they can support you.
04Educators
Educators retain ownership of the courses they publish. By publishing on Scope, you grant us a licence to host, deliver and display your course to enrolled learners for as long as it remains published.
You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload, for the accuracy of your course descriptions, and for complying with applicable law. We may remove content that is unlawful, harmful or misleading.
05Acceptable use
Do not misuse the platform: no harassment, spam, scraping, attempting to access other people’s data, interfering with the service, or uploading unlawful or infringing content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
06AI-supported features
AI-generated answers are provided to support learning and may occasionally be inaccurate. They are grounded in course material and cite their sources where possible, but you should verify important information. AI features are not a substitute for professional advice.
07Intellectual property
The Scope name, brand and platform software belong to Scope by OMUK. Course content belongs to its educators. Community posts belong to their authors, who grant us a licence to display them within the platform.
08Liability
We provide the platform with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for the content of courses, which are the responsibility of their educators. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
09Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged in the product or by email, and continued use after the update date means you accept them. Questions: hello@scope.omuk.co.uk. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
